You can access it from any device through one web address, and it has a much smaller footprint than a traditional app. It's the same Google Docs experience you know, just delivered through the web.

Select the option 'Add to...'

Here select the option 'Home Screen'

Tap the 'Add' button

And here confirm - and tap 'Add' again - and the app will appear on your home screen
